Evan Heckman is a passionate tour manager specializing in African safaris, a dedicated naturalist and an enthusiastic philanthropist.  His passion for Africa is a result of his mother, Karyn and their travels throughout the continent and their support of the School of St.Jude in Arusha, Tanzania.

After becoming a legally licensed safari guide in 2012, Evan has worked extensively in Southern and East Africa, increasing his exposure to a place he loves. Evan currently resides in Sarasota, Florida where he designs specialized African safaris. He also sits on the Culver Academies Legion Board, his alma mater’s alumni association.   

 Mark Heckman, Karyn’s husband of 35 years,  is a retail industry veteran with broad experience based in a mix of retail marketing, loyalty marketing, store operations, brand partnerships, category management practices and consumer research. 

Mark spent much of his career with Marsh Supermarkets, a $billion Midwestern grocery and convenience store chain.  At Marsh, Mark managed stores and later as director of store site location and competitive intelligence became deeply experienced in every aspect of store operations, logistics, distribution, pricing, and merchandising.

 Mark’s current and recent client list includes notable organizations such as Anheuser Busch, Hallmark Cards, Inmar, DECA (U.S. Defense Commissary Systems), Insignia Systems, Savings.com and LOC Enterprises, LLC.  Mark currently resides in Bradenton, FL.
